Congratulations, Chick: you’ve got a great start on what has been called “a fine cargo of experiences and memories…maturity reached slowly and against many obstacles, illnesses cured, griefs and despairs overcome, and unconscious risks taken”. (Antoine de Saint-Exupery) It is a pleasure and a privilege to know you — and to be part of your 65th birthday celebration (virtually)! What fun! -Linda

You may be old, but your slow. And you never let me play with your Lionels. I hate you. Just waiting for the chance to let you know when you were not in reach.
Love and Happy Birthday. Cousin Robert

  • From: Danielle and Robert

Wishing you a VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY and many more wonderful years to come. Love, Danielle and Rob

  • From: Rick Fields

On Friday, September 29, 1967 you said to me “So, what do you think?” Little did I know that you were asking me about something that would be so important to me for the rest of my life. You were asking me about a blind date I had just gone on and the woman who would eventually become my wife.
College roommates ask each other these questions. They are there for each other—have each other’s back so to speak. Hey, I could repeat the questions I asked you in 1963 when we first roomed together about those you dated but I have been warned that everyone can read this—sigh.
I have known you for over fifty years and yet it seems like those college days when we now talk. Seldom do people become friends for life but you certainly are. I could fill pages with our exploits—but once again I have been warned that everyone can read this—double sigh. But do you remember when . . .
So I will just wish you a happy birthday, young one, and hope that our paths will continue to cross for years and years to come.

65-How can that be? Of course you know you are the best looking of all the cousins, especially around the eyes. Don’t we have some wonderful memories. Hope you are looking forward to many more happy days and being with the family again on Thanksgiving at my place. With love and warm wishes-Janet

As the sun rises with its vibrant glow
Each and every morning
I am reminded of all the beauty that surrounds me
I wake to embrace my potential
I stand tall and proud as I represent all that I believe in
I speak and share my words of wisdom
I listen and gain the knowledge that enables me to be all that I can be
I acknowledge all that I learn and hear
I see the glorious and vibrant colors that surround me
I embrace all there is
That makes this world the incredible place it is!
At the end of each day
As the sunset cascades its magnificent colors upon us
Each and every evening
I am reminded of all that I have achieved
That tomorrow brings another day to be the best that I can be
With wide strides and huge leaps
Sleep renewing my strength and energy
I reflect each and every evening
Embracing all that life brings
Unwavering in passion and commitment
Celebrating
Each and every day!
– June Jurow

Happy Birthday! You’re a fantastic guy and I hope your birthday is great! I want to thank you very much for all you’ve done for me. I’ve enjoyed my time spent with you over the years, and look forward to having many more such experiences. You’ve been a great role model and once again thank you for being a positive influence in my life.

On your very big birthday, I am happy to remind you how special you are to me. Not only are you the favorite uncle of my childhood (shhhhh…don’t tell!) but you also honored the adult-me by marrying me to my soulmate over 20 years ago. Russ and I both look back on that day as perfect – and it had much to do with your time, energy, and of course your love and charm! Although I haven’t been able to connect with you much in recent years, my heart feels warm knowing that “you and my mother are very proud.” Love you, KB

  • From: Brian

    Happy birthday, Uncle Chick!
You have played a big role in my life and for that I’m grateful. Since I was a boy, I’ve thought that you have the greatest sense of humor and I think that has influenced me in great ways. I’ve also thought that you are the very coolest guy ever; you just exude coolness like the Fonz did. I appreciate your lifetime of support and I will always root for you to continue to do well. Mazel Tov on 65!
Your friend, Brian.

Now it’s my turn…to thank all of you who have responded to my charming wife’s great idea as a way to say “happy birthday”. (And remember, it’s her new business idea, too, so tell your friends) Thank you sweetheart. It was fabulous and I love you.
I was humbled and giggly at reading all of your kind and touching birthday greetings. I recognize how blessed I am to be able to enjoy the special gifts represented by your friendship and love. Thank you all for taking the time to share your thoughts.
Being 65 is gonna be a wild ride. Of course, I feel fortunate to be here to get to experience it. I know each of you is partly responsible for that, and for that, as well, I thank you all.
I hope to see you all soon, to thank you personally, not just “virtually”. And I’ll be buying…
With love, and one really big hug,
    Chick
